Anesthesia carts are essential equipment in every hospital, clinic, and medical treatment room. While the exact features may vary by model, each trolley typically includes multiple drawers, a waste container, and holders for medical accessories such as IV drips.

Key features of anesthesia carts include:

• A hanger for infusion fluids

Anesthesia carts are designed to be lightweight, ergonomic, and easy to clean and disinfect. Ideally, they are constructed from metal—preferably electro-galvanized steel sheet—and plastic. A worktop above the drawers and a pull-out plastic shelf are practical additions.

The carts run on rubberized wheels, typically 125 mm in diameter, allowing smooth mobility. All components are coated with high-quality powder varnish that is resistant to mechanical damage, cleaning agents, disinfectants, and UV radiation. The wheels and drawers should operate effortlessly, often with a central locking system on drawers to prevent accidental opening.
